Is that a Blue Dog?

January 24, 2010

I found Liam drinking from the dog's water bowl today and couldn't help but laugh. Then I made him do it again once I got the camera.
Now I can't get him to stop!

Supporting the Colts

January 23, 2010

My two favorite boys in their Colts gear! Too bad they didn't win the Superbowl this year.
This little mischievous boy had his heart set on it. Touchdown!

Our Chirstmas in Michigan

December 29, 2009

So once we got back from Chicago we eventually had our Christmas. It was quite and involved only a few gifts but we enjoyed it.
Liam got his Daddy a hat for that bald head (although we didn't know it was going to be bald!). Liam got a few great toys.
Liam and Daddy surprised Mommy with the best gift ever, an ornament with Baby Boyle #2's ultrasound picture on there! I was so excited.

Snowy Chicago

December 27, 2009

Chicago got quite a bit of snow while we were there so we broke out the sled and Liam was all smiles.
My mom even got into the action, she would do anything to make Liam happy!

Children's Museum at Navy Pier

December 26, 2009

The day after Christmas Mike and I took Liam to the Children's Museum at Navy Pier. I think Liam's favorite thing was the water room. He had a lot of fun, got pretty wet, and screamed when we left that section.
His not so favorite thing was taking this picture. Since Mike shaved his head the day before Christmas he just had to have a picture in this chair. I think Liam might of been a little scared.
Liam probably went down this slide twenty times! It made music as your bottom went over the little ridges on the slide.
It was a fun day and the highlight for me was the Garrett's popcorn we got, Chicago mix is my favorite!

A Glimpse of Christmas Day

December 25, 2009

This year we spent Christmas in Chicago. We always spend Christmas morning at my parents house which has fond memories for me. We woke up to piles of Christmas gifts, most of which were Liam's, and had a blast opening them.
Liam really had the hang of tearing open gifts and being excited no matter what was inside (this was a box of towels!).
After Liam's nap we headed to my Uncle Ross's house for the Hagen festivities. My Uncle puts up a HUGE tree with thousands of ornaments on it. It is a sight to see and Liam really loved it.
Dinner is always an event and everything was great. We opened some gifts from the cousins and just had a generally great time.
We closed out the evening with some Christmas music. Liam was mesmerized by the violin. He stood like this for quite some time! Merry Christmas!

A Whole Different Experience

December 18, 2009

We went to the mall today to check out the great train set there, which Liam loved, but we also had to visit Santa one more time. We really pushed our luck this time. I knew Liam was going to freak out if I sat him on Santa's lap alone so I was mean and did just that! What a great photo opportunity. Check out Santa's panic stricken face. He was screaming at me to just take him back but Mike and I were too busy laughing. Mean, mean parents.
We did do one nice picture, look how happy Santa is in this one!

Visiting Santa

December 12, 2009

I wasn't sure what to expect with our yearly visit to Santa, would Liam cry? We went to get our Christmas tree and met Santa and his reindeer. The reindeer were well fed and not interested in the treats Liam had to offer but we still managed to get one cute picture.
Santa was a jolly old soul that Liam did not seem to mind as long as he was on my lap and not his. Who could blame him?

A Good Book for All 3!

December 8, 2009

Sometimes it seems that I have two babies instead of just Liam. Fletcher, our 75lb greyhound, can be a bit demanding about being included in all that we do! We read "We Are Going on a Bear Hunt" about 5 times a day and this time Fletcher had to see the pictures and hear the story.
And of course every book needs to end with a sloppy kiss. What a group!

Rain Boots???

December 4, 2009
Grandma Jean sent these great rain boots to us in the mail. As you can see Liam loves them, who cares if it snowing and not raining! Details, details.

Sledding

December 3, 2009

We had a some snow today and took Liam out to try his sled. He loved it! We just ran him up and down the block and he was all smiles the entire time. What a blast.

Bad Idea Daddy

December 3, 2009

So I send Mike and Liam to the basement to play so that I can clean up dinner. I hear lots of laughter from Liam and he is not calling my name (which is very odd). Once I get dinner all cleaned up I head down there to see what is keeping my 2 boys so busy. This is what I found....

Now you think my "older boy" aka Daddy would know that this is a bad idea...but no "it just seemed like a good idea at the time" I am told!
Well at least I got what I needed to do done and everyone was happy!

Thanksgiving in Chicago

November 27, 2009

We headed to Chicago for Thanksgiving this year, a great advantage of living so much closer. While we were there we did some tourist things to show Liam the town. This day we went to the Shedd Aquarium and took this great picture of the skyline.

Grammy Jill Makes a Quick Trip

November 15, 2009

Grammy Jill and Great Grandma Bunny came up for the day on a chilly day in November. We headed down to Reeds' Lake and had fun feeding the ducks and playing a little soccer.

Where Have I Been???

February 15, 2010

Wow!!! I know I have been behind on my blogging but I didn't realize it was this bad! So the good news first...we are PREGNANT!!! Yeah!!! I found out in November that we are expecting Baby Boyle #2 in late July and we can't wait to meet him/her. Now the reason/excuse for lack of blogging...I have been so sick. I spent the first 16 weeks of pregnancy wrapped around the toilet and wondering if I would survive, so needless to say the blog got pushed to the back burner. I am going to start updating things today but it will be a slow and tedious process, please be patient with me :)
